Just a few weeks to go before we land in China...
The CSC prep-work has been in full swing over the last 6 weeks. From completing learning modules, completing research tasks, making presentations, attending calls to taking care of the logistics, it has been a busy time.
I got my China Visa last week and am all set as far as the travel arrangements go :)
Now working on making lists of everything that I would need to carry with me. Food will be a major portion of that as the vegetarian options will be limited in China. I searched for vegetarian restaurants in Xi'an and found a few...even found a couple of India restaurants listed there...let's see if I can go to some of them there.
We also received the Statements of Work (SOWs) for our respective projects from our NGO partner, VSO. Shen Shuo, our NGO contact, worked with the clients and translated the requirements in the form of SOWs. She also gave an overview of the three organizations and the projects in our last team call. All the three projects look quite interesting. Three of us, Vincent, Irena and myself will be working with an entrepreneurship incubator organization and will try to address some of the problems they are facing. The initial discussions among our group members have started and we should have a few approaches ready before we leave for China.
The next few days will be spent in closing the prep-work and some shopping...before the bags come out...
